I'm sure you guys have seen those caps you can get for PS3 and Xbox controllers that adds a little extra grip to the analog sticks. CGR reviewed them too. (link: )
I was just wondering if any of you guys know a decent way of doing something similar to a Dreamcast controller's analog stick? Because I hate the slippery feel of it.

Re: Dreamcast Analog Stick Grip?
Screw the caps. You want to do what me and a few friends over at Dreamcast-Talk forums did, and swap the stick out for an actual 360 stick!

Here is mine with a black 360 stick.

Or if you felt really creative, you could do this and even put the 360 collored face buttons too to make the controller look cleaner!

Or you could give it an extra "analog" like a 360 lmao.

Re: Dreamcast Analog Stick Grip?
What your probably going to have to do is go to a store that has analog stick grips and look for ones that will fit on the dreamcast analog stick. Ones for a ps2 controller might work for you because both styles of analog stick are rounded. The only other thing I can think of is try to make your own from something but that would be a pain and if you screwup. It cost you money

Hehe thanks. Well, I can tell you playing every game from Half-Life to Gran Turismo 2 feels so much more comfortable than the original. I will never go back to playing with the original hard plastic mushroomed stick again. This is rubber and holds your thumb in place and you can play for hours and it feels so much smoother cause your thumb ain't slippin' of the stick anymore.RareCollector5 wrote:Or listen to the other guy. Funny thing, as I do clearly remember seeing Micro$oft on the front of the console.YoshiEgg25 wrote:This is a Sega Dreamcast, not a Microsoft Dreamcast.

Try Plasti Dip. It works great for tons of applications and is super grippy and durable. And it can be removed by peeling it off. It makes a rubber coating much like the rubberized handle on a pair of pliers. I just sprayed the front of my car with it the clear kind and made a cheap easily removable clear bra with it. It cost around $7.00 a can and can be picked up at Lowes or Home Depot. http://www.plastidip.com/

Re: Dreamcast Analog Stick Grip?
I like the idea of putting xbox stick and buttons into my controller..hm. Would a first gen Xbox (as in, not a 360) stick and buttons be the same size? I don't own a 360, so..

The stick maybe, but the buttons I don't know. Are they circular or oblong?
