att email deal with yahoo killin my forum apps

Post by gennss »

Since yahoo mail is used for spam so much, the servers get blocked my forums. So i changed my email here, Racket had to approve me manually (never got the activation email).

Shortly after tried to create an account on Shoryuken, and ... no activation email. Weeks later, no activation email. Their ops aren't as easily reachable as racket was. What do you do in this situation? Change email addressed to a diff provider?

This post bares the mark of the beast. It is your 666th post.

Speaking of which, Yahoo is evil. Yes, definitely get a new e-mail address.

The majority of them, no.

The only problem arises obviously when a forum doesn't allow any free mail accounts. I've only run into a few in my travels.

So you should be good with gmail, it's what I use.

This thread really doesn't have anything to do with reading emails locally. He's saying that because he has a Yahoo address, he's finding that the address is being treated as spam and as such, he doesn't get address verification emails.
