any of you guys play music?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I also do a lot of ambient/psych pieces on the side on my own, but I'd like to start making more breakcore using chiptune samples.

Also, I do audio production and recording out of a home studio. If there are any singer/songwriters in the Phoenix that are interested in recording/collaborating send me a message.

That's awesome. I was introduced to Lovecraft somewhat recently. Nice tunes, also. I like that type of stuff.

I make beats with a Boss SP-202 Dr. Sample. I guess my love for retro machines extends beyond gaming. I recently got a 505 as well so we'll see how that works out. There's a direct download link in my sig if you want to hear my EP. It's just homemade beats, mostly sampled from vinyl and movies and stuff with some acapellas from old rap 12"s mixed in. Let me know what you think.

Thanks for all the kind words. I needed a boost.

I think I have some instruments of interests.

Ramatut4001, how do you like the 202? I use a 303 and I like it, but I've always had some curiosity to the 202.

baphomet_irl, meet my baby...

If you don't need a source of reverb, I highly recommend the 150. Even Wata from BORIS uses one!

I'm mostly just a recorder. Barry Leitch gave me his old music files for the DOS games he composed for, and I've recorded absolutely tons of them. I always try to make sure they sound as high quality as possible.

thats aweome, i really want one. also a cool reverb echo-effect unit is an echo-plex. it uses real tape to do the echos and sound warping.

I use a 73 fender princeton reverb for my guitar and it has amzing reverb/vibrato. And you can run a mic through a pre-amp and record some really crazy vocal effects. I also bought a boss ME-50 which is like 10 boss petals in one with no stupid digital interface, all analog knobs!

Too bad I stopped spending money on music equipment and shifted my funds to video games.
