I'm really excited about this translation, though! I'm awful at RTS games, but that didn't stop me from fudging my way through this game's prequel on the Saturn! It seems you're in pretty good communication with this guy -- give him a big thank you for me next time you talk to him!

That's a real shame about Rent-a-Hero No. 1 not getting the English Patch for the Dreamcast. I've been fascinated by that game since I saw a preview for it in a magazine a decade ago -- unfortunately, I don't have a modded original Xbox to play the translation on... plus I'm a bit of a Dreamcast purist.

Okay finally got around to this. WOW!
Thankyou for sharing and to Nebelwurfer especially for the translation! A curiosity, with that username, some German background, maybe influence to translate this great board game?
The manual really a very thorough sweet bonus!
Anyone when a kid who was into the board game Stratego can feel at home with this. No real time here, just pure foresight strategy. A very powerful Armchair General overseeing the entire battlefield game. Takes a lot of work to set up placement of your army in the hex field battle, the rewarding deep strategy thinking part of the "Chess" game.

I don't know if he knows any German I think he is American, but I personaly have self tought myself for the past 4 years. Words aren't hard as English is directly related to German, its the grammer that really gets you.
Anyway, glad you liked the game! It is a shame it was never released in western countries, but thank God we have Nebelwurfer, for he has truley worked some amazing magic here!
I look at this game like a more interactive version of Chess, highly recommended for Armchair Generals like you said. This is a thinking mans game, and not in the same vein as something like C&C.
Again, glad I could spread the word and share Nebelwurfer's work with you all. He diserves all the credit here, I just made a ready to burn image with his patch.
