Yeah, I missed the DC and it doesn't seem to exist anymore.Ziggy587 wrote:There's this...

I remember one with an ugly giant pot leaf on the top, but I can't seem to find it.

Seeing that thread made me lol again
The potleaf thread should of been stickied honestly.

So is it really gone? Some one needs to PM budsmoka and see if he still has a copy of that pic on his computer. It's an important part of history.

Re: Painting my Dreamcast without ruining it
Thanks for the tips everyone.
It's still within three miles of my house though so it could be worse.
Shame I actually physically can't get there right now, because of, as you mentioned, the weather we're having. Can't actually get the car out the driveway because of the snow!
Nice. Krylon Fusion seems hard to come by online if you're in the UK - amazon and ebay yield little results, but I'll try my local B&Q like you say and hopefully they'll stock them. There used to be a B&Q literally 100 yards from my work, but it moved to a retail park on the outskirts of townDemented Collector wrote:For spray paint I visited my local B&Q, they had a discounted spray paint bin with loads of Krylon plastic spray paint in, metallic and normal.
£2 a tin instead of the usual £7.
Got a bit carried away and left with 6 different colours and 2 tins of laquer.
keep the spray indoors as I don't think the weather were having helps, ie don't leave the tin in the freezing garage.
There's a couple of DCs I sprayed in this thread.

As already said, take the DC apart for the best results and make sure you cover the two felt pads that the disc sits on.
HTH.

I definitely recommend Krylon Fusion over anything else. If you can't seem to get some, let use know. Maybe me or some one else on the forums can help you get some. I wouldn't want you to settle for second best.

Hmm, won't shipping aerosol paint internationally be a major pain though?Ziggy587 wrote:I definitely recommend Krylon Fusion over anything else. If you can't seem to get some, let use know. Maybe me or some one else on the forums can help you get some. I wouldn't want you to settle for second best.

This table says no international shipping for aerosol paints. It can't even be sent by air domestically. See Class 2.Ziggy587 wrote:Why? That's against the rules?

Damn. UPS maybe? Or it's the same regulation because it has to go in the air?

Well, the problem is pressurized cans in low pressure high atmosphere. UPS would be ridiculously expensive anyway. Even if they'll take it, who wants to pay $40 to ship some spray paint?Ziggy587 wrote:Damn. UPS maybe? Or it's the same regulation because it has to go in the air?
