Part 3 for the Genesis ruled. When games change teams 3/4 through the development cycle, its a bad sign. Its all speculation at this point though. I would wait and give it a chance before judging it.

I can't believe it but this game actually looks just as unimaginative and repetitive as all the God of Wars and Onimusha's combined. So it's about on par with Madworld.

I am not sure it was great in the sense that the game was clever in any way but it was a popular game just because of the horror gore theme. If you like at the time it had a reputation of being a video nasty
While I thought that the game played just fine, nothing gameplay-wise was particularly great to me. The horror theme was neat at the time but I really though the GFX couldn't convey a really gory show and it just felt a little cartoonish/horror like.

(Not to derail the topic but, I liked Bonk's Adv, Legendary Axe & Blazing Lazers much more at the time. :) )

But on the reboot of the series, even though now graphically we can see really gory stuff, I'm just kinda over the whole 1980/90s horror stuff especially Jason. Not hating on it, just got worn out of this genre, that's all.
