Oh look. IGN is retro now.

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Eh, I never really cared about GameSpot, IGN, etc. It's not like either of them write good reviews. If I'm on the fence about a game I ask the community, not look up what some paid journalist thinks about it.

Remember when they resurrected their Dreamcast channel? How long did that last, two months? "Oh boy! We're going to re-review every Dreamcast game ever made!" About a dozen reviews later, they abandon it.
Exactly -- there is a reason big sites don't do much retro. If you are a dedicated business, you can't get rich with retro. (unless you are a genius or something)
I break a profit on this site, but there's no way I could live off of it.
(Actually, most of the money comes from the store, not ads)

IGN hiring more than one person to work on Retro seem unrealistic.

But at least more competition gets me to step up my game :)

I see good things in store for this site in 2008. You guys are gonna love it :)

I've still been (foolishly) checking it on a weekly basis. It was just recently I realized that they weren't doing anything new

That all depends on what you are doing with retro gaming. You are going to make much money writing articles though.

Yeah I was quite excited about that... I kept checking... and checking... and checking. Then I just gave up! hehe.

Bah, I never really liked IGN due to most of their shoddy reviews. I find it difficult to navigate the website aswell :?

I absolutely hate the way their site is designed. The stupid ads don't help. Seems their site was better years ago, than it all just changed dramatically.

Nintendo is making money off retro, they have this thing called virtual console they use to do it.

I've never went into IGN, except for that DC section you guys mentioned, but maybe that IGN retro thing is just a big VC ad

What about Retro Gamer magazine?
