So why were they released in two different colors? Why are some cases black and others white?
I thought maybe it was a 'greatest hits' type thing...but we all know the 'Cast wasn't around long enough for that. Then I thought maybe it was like the colored bar on SNES carts - one color for 1st Party and another for 3rd. But I have sega games in both scheme.
Was there any logic behind it?

I'm still trying to figure out the PSX default button X and O mystery. Original prototype controller had them reversed to match the Japanese default location.

The early Dreamcast games were white and the later cases went black. The greatest hits cases were orange. I remember one of the first DC cases in black that I seen was Tony Hawk 2 (I was working at an EB games during those years.)

Yeah, I dislike the black cases. It was a bad move IMO.
