dreamcast fishing rod controller. Should i buy it for 10??

Post by cloudrat7 »

There is a store next to my job that sells old systems and all sorts of peripherals. I'm always in there looking around and spotted a dreamcast rod for 10 dollars. Is this thing worth getting? I never used one before. And i know only a few fishing games work with it.

Yeah, it's pretty funny. I got mine for about $20-$25, I forget now. It was good since it was brand new in the box. Box has some slight wear and tear but the controller and everything was unopened.

Most defiantly, $10 is a bargain for one of those, even if it is a third party one. I currently only have a third party fission one which isn't in the greatest of condition but it least works and only cost me £3 (about $6). After you've tried it out on Soul Calibur, try it on Virtua Tennis 1 as well!

We had a riot with my Dreamcast fishing controller when my fishing buddies were over for dinner. It works well and adds a little fun to the fishing games.

most definately, sega marine fishing is a load of fun which surprised me because i find real life fishing atrociously boring.

i managed to miraculously get one of these for free as my local games store frequently put out a box of unwanted crap, which so far has netted me 2 official dreamcast light guns, a fishing rod controller, a dreamcast keyboard, 2x VMUs, an unofficial rumble pak that lights up and an official megadrive arcade stick.

Lucky sod! j/k.

I've got an official fishing controller. It's still in mint condition.

Try playing crazy taxi with it ;)
