In theory yes, but if it does it would be either custom done, OR a developers console of some sort. However in reality it would have no point in existing. Seriously Alex kid and sonic were some of the only excellent master system games.

The master system library is awesome. I have a selection of awesoem games for it, and quite a list of other games I want for it too!dsheinem wrote:BOO! The SMS has a great library!Frizz.Meister wrote:Seriously Alex kid and sonic were some of the only excellent master system games.

There so many good SMS games... There are ofcourse some really really really disappointing games, but the NES has had many of those as well.dsheinem wrote:BOO! The SMS has a great library!Frizz.Meister wrote:Seriously Alex kid and sonic were some of the only excellent master system games.
The favorites in my personal collection are Bubble Bobble, Operation Wolf and Time Soldiers.

I disagree myself, i recently sold my entire master system collection and dont regret it. Most of the games were very poor, and the few which were good bettered by many SNES/Megadrive games. Out of the 73 games i sold only around 4-5 i would have considered good, (physco fox, sonic, alexkid, phantasy star golvellius) and even these are rarely played when you have so many great games for the later systems.

Just off the top of my head.

An interesting set of comparisons, noting which SMS versions this guy thinks are better than their NES counterparts: http://www.huguesjohnson.com/features/nes-vs-sms/

Dont get me wrong those games are good. It's just for me i see more modern games which are better. For example you mention Golden axe Warrior, i would prefer Zelda Ocarina of time myself. Not that Golden axe Warrior is a bad game, if that makes sense??alienjesus wrote: Penguin land, castle of illusion, lucky dime caper, deep duck trouble, fantasy zone 1 & 2, r-type, shinobi, wonder boy 1-3, alex kidd in shinobi world, astro warrior, global defence, ninja gaiden, power strike 2, ghouls n ghosts, rescue mission, golden axe warrior.

Also im too young to have grown up with the 8-bit games so my nostalgia only starts with the 16bit era, prehaps that affects my preferences?
Re: Master System II without built-in game?
well its very ovious that the megadrive is far seperior to the master system as the ps3 is to the ps1 and ps2 or the wii is to the n64.
but as an 8 bit system with very little support it had a great selection of games, was very populour in europe and paved the way for sega into the 16 bit market it shouldn't be compared to its successor.
