USB Controllers on a PS2

Post by Betamax001 »

Basically I don't want to buy a PS2 arcade stick, when I have a most excellent PS3/PC USB arcade stick that I could use. Is there such an adapter that would work? Or would just plugging it in the PS2's USB ports work?
NES, SNES, PS1, N64, DC, PS2, GCN, Wii, PS3, 360, GB, GBC, GBA, GBA SP, PSP 3000, and 3DS XL

I am 90% sure that the answer to both of your questions is no.

interested in soldering?

This chip basically takes the output from your PS3/PC joystick and makes it compatible with all game systems (minus xbox 360)

I did this mod with a 360 joystick, and that joystick is now compatable with all my systems. Only way to get 360 compatablity is to use a 360 joystick as the base though.
If you aren't having a good time, why are you playing?

Doesn't work with an actual PS2. Only a PS3 with PS2 backwards compatibility. If you read the description it says this.

You are technically correct (The best kind of correct). I think he meant to link to the Multi-Console version.
