Will the US version be getting that awesome case, or have they made any statements on the packaging?

...$30?

As in 3 sets of 10 of those pieces of paper with George Washington on it? That's a little steep for what should be an $8 virtual console release, isn't it?
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Not really, one its not digital distrubution and actual put on a disc plus packaged, someone designed the package too. It come with a music CD, and a 32-page history booklet and last but not least you now own an actual copy and not a borrowed game linked to only one console.

Lets see, I will break down what I think it all should be worth.
Super-Mario All stars on actual media in packaging= $10
Music CD = $10
32 page Booklet = $10
total = $30

I was hesitant about this but it looks like the preorders at gamestop have already sold out online.
Glad I preordered through Amazon.

I have the JP one and I gotta say I'm disappointed with it. I knew that it was just the SNES version of All-Stars but I was getting it for the art book and music CD.
The art book was not as nice as some Nintendo/Mario fan sites and the CD again was just a sampling of music from several games. It has music up to Super Mario Galaxy which is was kind of a tease that they could have put every console Mario game on the game DVD as well.
So all in all, I wouldn't have bought it if I knew this is what the total package was. Then again for how cheap it is, I suppose it was foolish to expect anything much. Oh well, I still got Nintendo points for it. :roll:
 (FC, AVFC, NES, SFC x2, SNES, N64, GC x2, Wii x2)*(G&W x7, GB, GBpocket, GBASP, DS-L x2)
(GEN, SS x3, DC x3)*(PCE-Duo)*(Xbox:500GB)*(NGCDZ, NGPC)*(PS1, PStwo, PS3:160GB, PSP.3K)
