Dreamcast 2 !
People may have already talked about this here, but i still dont know the truth. Can anyone tell me if there is going to be a Dreamcast 2? I've read that Sega sent the dreamcast name(s) to the US patent which lead to people speculating a new system. Then I read that it was just to renew their patent. But I just dont wanna hear that and i would like for someone to tell that there will be a Dreamcast 2. Can anyone do that for me?

i would get it, just because i'm a sucker for sega. i bought every sega system by order so one more wont hurt me any. I don't know why but i think the sega saturn is by far their best system, only because of the unique games and rpg's.

Dear sir(s),
Please don't reply anymore to threads like this. It is pure torture. Sega will perhaps never again make a console. Perhaps they will merge with another company and the sega name is lost. I like the enthousiasm, but everytime a thread like this comes along I get my hopes up only to let my hopes get crushed by a mountain falling from the sky.
Did that sound alright? I don't expect mods to lock threads like this offcourse. Then again if there is a rumor anywhere I want to be the first to know. OK dreamcast 2 thread creation permission is granted.

About the patent renewal, the reason why Sega is doing it is because they don't want some other company taking the name. However, Sega might release some Dreamcast compilations...
