Halo 3 was alright, but Gears of War was better.

What really is beginning to tick me off is that so many multiplayer games can only be played online multiplayer. What about us humans with real live friends with which we want to play two-player co-ops but want to do it in person to *gasp!* actually enjoy doing something together with a live and in person person. My gaming buddy and I had such a good time playing Half-Life in the co-op mode we couldn't wait for The Orange Box to hit the 360. Oh, but wait, if you want to do the multiplayer co-op you need multiple machines, multiple copies of the games and not experience it together on a single machine and a single TV. Just plain stupid in my opinion.

Halo is a good game, but it's also probably the most overrated game of all time as well.

It's sort of like Sonic Adventure for Dreamcast. At the time, it was all the rage and if you had a Dreamcast you had to have Sonic Adventure. If you play that game today, you'll realize that really only a handful of the Sonic levels are fun, and the rest of the game is hardly worth playing.

I've enjoyed my fair share of Halo. It plays really well, because you almost always seem to be in on the action struggling to survive. Multiplayer is where it really shines, but like others have said, if you don't have Xbox Lvie then it will get boring fast. It's a good game, just not as good as everyone makes it out to be.

No one can ever take that away from him. But when he trashes fun, successful games like Donkey Kong Country simply because he didn't make them or says things like, "I could have made Halo" it makes him seem like a guy who thinks a little too highly of himself.

Oh well, at least he's not as annoying as Tomonobu Itagaki or David Jaffe. Nobody's ego is as big as Itagaki's, and David has the maturity of a child. Again, great gamemakers, but I don't like them as people.

Have you watched many video interviews with the man? I have, and every time some blog like destructoid or kotaku run a story on some of these interviews, they take quotes so far out of context or even make up their own quotes that have a bigger impact. They can do this with little risk because it's all being translated, and not spoken directly. I don't know what has crawled under their asses, but they seemed determined to take him down a notch this year.

I agree.

And David Jaffe gets on my nerves. So the man has made Twisted Metal and God of War. I don't see how that makes him much better than a bucketful of other developers.

I agree with you on David Jaffe. I love the GoW games(Not really Twisted Metal) but when I saw him being interviewed on a gaming party or whatever it was... he just looked like a douche, not to mention; acted like one.

And for the Halo-talk. I have played all Halo games, and of course I was really looking forward to the 3rd game, since it was so hyped(later revealed to be overhyped...). But damn I was dissapointed with the game. It was more or less only Halo 2 all over again with a slight graphical ajustment.

... then Halo 3 goes off winning like every game of the year award possible and gets a 9.8/10.0 by gametrailers.com. Its obvious they have been payed by Microsoft. If Halo 3 REALLY sets the standards like that, being THE BEST GAME OF THE YEAR IN EVERY ASPECT... then it really must've been a shitty
gaming year... if that really was true.

Agree. :P Not because its a hands down shitty game... but without any doubt the most overrated game of all time(Why doesnt it win this award?)

Halo 3 deserves some attention, but not the shitload of attention it is currently getting. And I'm always gonna be annoyed over that while other good games are left in the shadow for some retarded reason while a worse gam

Final word: Halo 3 is great if you have never played a FPS before, as someone already mentioned; its a good "Pick up and play"-game. Nothing more. Should've been 8/10, MAX.

I agree. Don't get me wrong, i enjoy playing, it's a nice challenge. Definately an over-rated game. Mplay is good fun though now it's been balanced and you can't dual wield the assault rifle anymore (THE WORST thing about halo 2).
