Also, I don't know how many more times I'm gonna have to tell you, but the outrun license drop does not mean that people can't re-download their purchased copies. In fact people who purchased any PSN game that's been taken down by a developer or publisher can still download it if they paid for it. This just means that they're not selling any more of them to new customers because they can't.

To be fair, it's my fault the entire forum thinks you can't download stuff that has been taken off the store. When I tried to re-download outrun, when I heard about the game being taken off the store, an error occurred. I tried downloading the item right on top of it (prince of persia classic) and since it worked, I thought that Outrun had been taken off the servers.

No worries not your fault. Eventually download support will go away as the next consoles come out for from the big three. The problem is a hard drive download is not as reliable for long term storage as a BlueRay, DVD or CD data disc.

I'm hinting that too in my thread, concerning how people will continue to purchase even though for example a game states "SCEA reserves the right to retire the online portion of this game at anytime."

Therefore they have the right to alter any of the content as they see fit as long as it doesn't affect the data itself on the disc that you paid for.

If you took a picture of any other game made by a third party it'll still give you the 90 day warning.

Also, the 90 days isn't a deadline for the removal of data on the machine itself it's the cutoff for online gameplay and the sale of DLC to NEW CUSTOMERS. Existing customers cannot be denied what they've paid for by both law and Sony's Terms And Conditions for PSN.

not going to disagree with you there, but you do know almost all consoles ever made have region lock. The Wii has it, Don't know about the 360 (too lazy to google it)
