this is freaking me out, majorly. just today i had a guy from ADT security come and try and give me an estimate since there were two break-ins just down the street from me. looks like i really need to stop putting off looking into renter's insurance.

The only time something came up from a filed police report from me was a car after I gave them detailed documents such as pink slip, title and registration... I guess it all depends but I think I would rather file a claim than a police report...

True, and the only time I filed a claim was when the car was stolen... I didn't really bother with the tools... Ironically, they were stolen out of the car, so I basically put my next set of tools in the house everyday...
