here's an example of some of my confusion. According to this list Chu Chu Rocket and GT Advance were released BEFORE that GBA was. SO yeah. I don't think that's right.nielse16 wrote:No, but here is another source!

It could be - launch games are frequently released a week or so before the console itself.noiseredux wrote:here's an example of some of my confusion. 15
...interesting. I think more and more I'm believing that 15 was it. There seems to be other lists showing 20-25 titles, but my guess is that those were all the titles announced, and maybe some of those games came out in the following weeks, but weren't true launch day titles. The ONLY game I seem to be getting some conflicting stories on is Circle Of The Moon. Someone on NintendoAge says they remember buying it on launch day...

I remember there being roms and an emulator out at or before launch for the gba, that was weird.dsheinem wrote:It could be - launch games are frequently released a week or so before the console itself.noiseredux wrote:here's an example of some of my confusion. Re: Does anyone have proof of the launch day GBA titles?
It is indeed right -- a bunch of Wii games were out and available before the Wii was too. I had five or six titles picked up before release day. I know it sounds stupid, but somehow I felt like I was paying less when I picked up because of that. :pnoiseredux wrote:here's an example of some of my confusion. that's correct. I'm actually reading a book right now that referenced the fact that there was in fact a GBA emulator out before the GBA had been released. Pretty crazy.t0yrobo wrote:

Maybe there are NPD sales figures from that month? There's got to be some kind of definitive record.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I bet if you call Nintendo, they would look into it. Their customer service is nothing but helpful.
