Very comprehensive, liked it a lot. Especially covering how they marketed it post-crash.

Another very well researched articlle Dsheinem. I love reading things because I learn something new every time. You always go into more detail than Wikipedia or some of the other dry histories out on the net. Plus pictures are always awesome. Keep them coming man.

Great informative read! Didn't know about the 16 preset positions of R.O.B, thought only just enough for each pad and gyromite motor. I wonder what the other two R.OB. games were. The Sears ad a crack, gives the impression that R.O.B is mobile.

It wasn't doing that earlier.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

They're likely putting it on the front page.

If you attempt to edit your article, you should see it's still there, but with a timed release. The staff have decided it's good enough to put up on the front page of the site, with their banner that it was promoted from the blogs. They've done this with a few games I've reviewed.

I hope so, a very good Article! Maybe even do a copy paste here, worthy of the belonging in the blue bar guides at the top.

You would think that article would also stay in your feeds.

I'm definitely liking how much attention you are paying to the atmosphere of the gaming world with each systems launch - it's really easy to lay criticisms at Sony, Nintendo, etc for the decisions they made with the power of hindsight. Much more difficult to actually remember that there was a time before the industry and consumer expectations were nominalized.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
