Kirby's Epic Yarn

Post by EvilRyu2099 »

Not sure, but I searched 3 pages and didn't actually see a thread on this, but the game has been released today(or yesterday)... I don't plan on picking this up until later but I'm kind of on the fence about purchasing the game... It looks amazing, but I hear it's very easy and Kirby can't die... I just would like to know how many of you plan on picking this up today? Also, I wonder if some of you can share your thoughts on the game and how it compares to other recent platformers..

PS: Who am I kidding, even if most of you say it sucks I'll still probably buy it for the eye candy and the fact that it's a Kirby game!!

I won't get it today, but probably in the next week or so. If nothing else I'll get it for a niece this Christmas and wait to borrow it from her once she gets bored with it (probably take just a couple of hours).

I'd wait for a price drop if it wasn't a Nintendo game. As far as the difficulty I heard the hard part it getting a high completion rate.

Haha, just saw that there is another thread on this game like on page 4... Maybe I'll change this to the release thread or something... And yeah I would think 100% completion is the actual challenge... I'm watching a partial walkthrough right now and when you get hit, you lose gems so I guess there are some consequences to playing carelessly... Also the suck and blow attacks aren't in the game either, which I don't mind too much...

I've been playing it on/off for a few days. Yeah it's easy and the 100% and gold ranking for each level is pretty much the completion-oriented goal but, it's fun. It's quite fun but, it's definitely light and sometimes after work, that's all I'm mentally there for.

Not every game needs to be "hardcore", "deep", "insanely difficult" or "100 hours". Sometimes games can just be "fun", can you imagine? Kirby fits that bill admirably -- it's a lot of fun, and it looks spectacular.

the title looks like "Kirby's Epic Yawn", although I want to get it at some point. Kirby ftw.

Unusually easy yet unreasonably fun is about par for a Kirby game. I haven't tried it yet myself, but I will as soon as I can.

I got mine this morning and Ive been trying to complete 100% on every level before I move on to the next. I'm at the beginning of world 3 now, and I buy all the furniture and patterns and find a friend side games. It wont be too hard to beat completely, but my wife can play it, and although my son is too young to actually play it with us, he loves sitting there watching us play it. So its good family fun all around. I couldve spent my 50$ on something much worse. I also got my intend to purchase and purchase wii coins for it. Add the 10 post play coins, and im 70 coins closer to platinum for the year. :) And those rewards go in my game room.
