You always put in your max bid in the last 10-20 seconds, that way your opponent won't have a number to beat you on.noiseredux wrote:I just sort of gave up on bidding becuz so rarely win anything I bid on. I'm always outbid at the last minute.

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
but that's my thing. I dont' want to be bothered. During the week I go to bed at like 10pm. I know there's people sitting ebay at 2 in the morning waiting for an auction to be in its final moments. I really just can't be bothered. I'd rather buy something now than wonder if I maybe won it for a week.YoshiEgg25 wrote:You always put in your max bid in the last 10-20 seconds, that way your opponent won't have a number to beat you on.noiseredux wrote:I just sort of gave up on bidding becuz so rarely win anything I bid on. Found a Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Tiger handheld at a thrift store for 99 cents. It's in good shape and works. Just missing the battery cover. Kind of a neat find.
Also I got a cassette of the Ghostbusters Motion Picture Soundtrack. It's not gaming related, but that doesn't take away from how awesome it is!

Bought Final Fantasy Tactics for $2.00 at local thrift chain. Awesome.
I also paid $2.00 for Crazy Taxi, Croc 2 and Breakout (PS1), which aren't such great deals but still pretty cool games.
A few weeks ago I bought Quake and Duke Nukem 3D for the Saturn for $5.00 each. Unfortunately I passed on Doom because I already had it and then I just had to look it up on VGPriceCharts.

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Not the greatest deal in the world but a good one to spend my Best Buy gift card on none the less:
Kolona for the Wii $10
Spyborgs for the Wii $5
Both are fun games. We all know about Kolona, but Spyborgs is a modern take on the beat-em up made by Capcom. I wish I could use the classic controller, but the game is fun and easily worth five bucks.

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
I don't have anything older than an SP, but if the battery springs corroded and broke off I imagine something could be rigged up without too much trouble and some soldering. Maybe take the springs our of an orphaned or dead remote control, kids toy, or get a project battery holder and pull the springs out then work them in there.noiseredux wrote:not sure -- I bet Hobie would know.emwearz wrote:Purple Gameboy Color for $5, its missing its battery contacts.

I will have to wait until it gets here, but a remote control is a brilliant idea.
