You may be out of luck. While they claim they are looking into it, a new R4i SDHC is being manufactured that supports 1.4.1. The old card may not get updated. You should grab yourself an Acekard 2i and keep your R4 around as a backup.

Nintendo announced that there will be a method to transfer your DSiWare to 3DS. Which is great, considering their current stance on the subject.

I think I read somewhere that the only ones that may not be transferrable are the ones that rely on wifi in some way. Thats a pretty small selection from what I can determine.

Now if only they'd devise a way to transfer WiiWare games between Wii consoles.

You can -- but you have to send both the old Wii and the new Wii to Nintendo.

Got an email earlier in the day from Wayforward announcing that on the 27th, they will have ipad/iphone versions available. I'm curious what the cost of the games will be.

Sigh...every time I see a move like this, it's obvious that it's just done to make more money. Until Apple makes a iphone with actual buttons, action platformers like Shantae will not work properly on the device. The DSi version uses every button on the system, and it needs them. Porting Final Fantasy 3 and other slower paced games works, but Shantae? I love you Wayforward, but c'mon, stick with systems with buttons for your action games please.

Nah, why would they want to that?

Personally I hope it does well, Wayforward deserves it.. I'd much rather see it brought to WiiWare/PSN/XBLA, but oh well. Hopefully this will eventually pave way for a physical release, though I admit that's more of a pipe dream than anything.

As I said before, I'm curious about the price but I'm also curious as to how the controls will work. I could see it working if they used stylus controls similar to the Zelda games to control running/jumping.

Shantae was $12 for DSiware. I'm guessing that it's $9.99 for iOS.

It's up on ITunes. It's free to download and it looks like it's $2.99 (launch price) to unlock the full game. Regular price will be $4.99.

Will try it at lunch.

What a shame this game is only on American DSi's and the iphone. I would totally buy it if it was a physical DS release.
