The NES is weird, it has an internal convertor that changes the 9v AC into 5v DC. You can use a normal DC brick on the NES and it doesn't care. So you can use a US GEN 1 brick on a NES and it will work fine. That's why those generic replacement ones say they will work on a NES or GEN.yosh wrote:Oh sh*t! I honestly didn't know. Seriously. I think my dad gave me a power supply that worked on my Model 1 and I used that on my NES, and thats where i got confused. My apologies

Actually, the MD II power supply doesn't even fit into the Game Gear I've got; however the MS II one does.
Perhaps it was silly, but I tried turning on the Game Gear with it, but it didn't come on at all. I Suspect that it may be broken anyway. It came with no wires or games and it was in pretty bad condition. I've yet to coordinate the simultaneous charging of 6 AA rechargeable batteries in order to try that out yet, however.
On a high note, I read that the MD II power supply can also be used on a 32X. I don't have one, but it's a reason to keep it lying around I suppose. Again, however, whether or not this applies to UK machines, I don't know
