Re: Sega Genesis video problem - screen continually scrolls up
It just sounds like your TV isn't liking the sync from that old video output. NTSC Genesis games can be either 256 or 320 pixels wide by 224 pixels high. I imagine the different things you seeing are based on the resolution that particular screen uses in the game and the way it affects the sync. Did you even manage to test it through a VCR or something that might be regenerating output the TV might like better? Obviously the cords and things you got are giving you a better picture, but just for testing purposes?

Re: Sega Genesis video problem - screen continually scrolls up
I tried once with a VCR, but got no picture - but we were not certain the VCR was working properly at all as I couldn't even get a tape to load so it wasn't a good test run. I wouldn't mind testing out a VCR just to see, it was never the preferred path for me because the space on my tv bench is so limited and I didn't want to pay for a VCR that I don't want to have laying around (even if it's only $10). I'll be sure to post the results if I ever do get around to obtaining/borrowing a VCR.
