Sony 3.50 Firmware Update & Controller Adapters

Now that Sony has released a firmware update that allegedly disables many third-party controllers for use on the PS3, I'm wondering if anybody is having any trouble with their third-party controller converters, such as PS2-to-PS3 adapters, 360-to-PS3 converters, etc... ?

I don't own a PS3 yet (I may never if they keep pissing me off) but I have a couple PS2-to-PS3 converters that I was hoping to use in the future. So I'm curious if anybody is having an issues with their converters. Thanks

None of my PS2->USB adapters worked on the PS3 in the first place. IIRC, Niode has an unofficial adapter that works on the PS3. The7k says his X-Arcade adapters still work. Apparently, this isn't as bad as it seemed.

Oh god I hope not. I haven't updated my system yet. I really hope they don't screw around too much with one of the best features of the PS3.

My USB Saturn controller works with 3.50, thank god. Or else how could I play the Genesis collection?!

It has worked great for anything I've thrown at it and would hate to lose its functionality. Anyone else know if it still works with the update?

Well I'm never going to update my PS3 ever again anyway (unless CFW comes out of course) so I will never be able to tell you whether or not my 3rd party PS2 to USB converter will work.

Yeah, I figure eventually we'll get CFW, and when the system is dying off it will be more fun to play with and see what can be done by the homebrew scene. For now I have a nettop PC for emulation needs and don't care about HD Loader or pirating. For me, there's much more incentive in being able to stay on the PSN, get DLC/Demos/etc.

I'm the complete opposite. I'd rather have an exploited console. Couldn't give two hoots about PSN. I'd rather have XBL.

But if a USB Saturn controller doesn't work, then a Genesis one wouldn't work either since this firmware update was allegedly made to black 3rd Party USB devices.
