Hello there everyone. I just posted a quick video on how to play Japanese or PAL Sega Mega Drive games on your North American Sega Genesis. Check it out at my site, AlfredBonnabel.com.
Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!

Cool.
Would have been nice if you showed some footage of you playing something.

Yeah, I was trying to figure out the best way to do that. Next show related purchase is going to be a video capture card. Only so much you can do with emulators.
Thanks for the feedback and for watching. Keep the comments coming guys.

Re: Sega Genesis Importing Mega Drive Games How To
Here are some imports that I either own or have played that I would definitely recommend:
*Golden Axe III
*Puyo Puyo
*Contra Hard Corps (much easier difficulty)
*Bare Knuckles III
*Super Fantasy Zone
*Rockman Megaworld (Mega Man on the Genesis!)
*Alien Soldier
*Twinkle Tail
Those are just a few. There are a ton of really great schmups that I haven't listed that you should check out if you enjoy the genre.
I also recommend Mega Drive games for the art work as well. They just plain look cooler. Take Sonic 2
US:

JPN:

Personally I think the JPN version is a lot more vibrant and alive. The same tends to hold true for quite a few other titles as well though some games have the same artwork across regions.

I actually like the US cover of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 better.

You can just play Japanese imports directly in a Genesis 3 as long as they don't have the region protection.

You can also fit a 50/60hz switch which takes 5 minutes and cost almost nothing.
