Wow, I thought it was just a joke when people said Sony was going to start disabling the use of USB devices, but I guess I was wrong:

Either that's a horrible Japanese-to-English translation or Sony does not know what the words "explode" or "ignite" mean.lisalover1 wrote:Sony wrote: It is possible that some counterfeit product may ignite or explode, resulting in injury or damage to your PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, the user, or other property.
Or they're just being little bitches as seems to be usual lately.

No fucking way. They've disabled 3rd Party USB device support? What next, stopping you from charging your sixaxis/dualshocks via USB because they theoretically can be used to exploit the PS3?lisalover1 wrote:Wow, I thought it was just a joke when people said Sony was going to start disabling the use of USB devices, but I guess I was wrong:

What the fuck Sony, if you keep at this you're not going to have a console left to disable. You're going to need to have a licence to switch the fucker on whilst a Sony employee is looking over your shoulder constantly making sure you don't use YOUR hardware in any way that Sony may find objectionable.

sigh... that's it I'm sticking to retro gaming. Screw the internet, if it's going to make our consoles worse (well screw sony actually but that would be serious and not a jk)

I have a feeling that one day, the PS3 will only be allowed to be used with official Dualshock 3 controllers, hooked up to a Bravia 3DTV, with the official HDMI cable. And for it to work, you have to show receipts for all these things to the PSEye camera every time you start it up.Niode wrote:No fucking way. They've disabled 3rd Party USB device support?
