I've been wanting my own pc gamepad for a while, but didn't exactly need it since I do pretty well with the keyboard. Finally ran into some extra cash, so I thought it'd be nice to get a pc gamepad.
The question is, is there an SNES or any 4 button gamepad with triggers that'll work with any PC game? I play all types of games on my pc, but an SNES USB gamepad seems like the kind of think I'd want.
I'm sorry if I posted in the wrong forum, or if this has been made before, this is my first time looking for a pc gamepad. Point me in the right direction or lock the topic if necessary, but I just need to know where I can get my preferred gamepad if it does exist.
Sorry, nooby question about controllers.

Hmm...for the sounds of things, why not buy yourself a real SNES controller and then one of these: http://www.retrousb.com/product_info.ph ... ucts_id=29

Wow, so with this I can actually play any type of game? The reason I decided now is because I just got Melty Blood Act Cadenza on my PC, but to go 2 players, I'm gonna need 2 controllers. So, this will give a nice touch to my emulated games, but it'll work on PC games as well? I dont' care if it's not a fightpad, I grew up playing fighting games on controllers.

If worse comes to worse, you can still use joy2key if your controller isn't being read. I've had to do that a couple times, just map the buttons on the controller to the keyboard and go that route.Veno wrote:Wow, so with this I can actually play any type of game? Good god it's 22 bucks? I didn't see that the first time. I've seen posts here a couple times about NES controllers that have straight USBs? If I can't get a classic usb controller, then how about a pc controller that doesn't require an installation? I know I'm being picky, but I installed my friend's wireless controller on my pc, and I don't really wanna install another one.

Or one of these http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... K:MEWNX:IT
It's what I just got and it works perfectly for fighters and emulation, and another added bonus is that it works with the ps3 as well.
As far as the quality goes, I've never played a saturn before so I can't say if it exactly like the saturn pad, but I am an avid Megadrive player and it is as good as the 6 button Megadrive pad. Which considering that is my favourite controller of all time is saying alot. Also, like the saturn it does have left and right triggers so you can map snes emulators properly. Great pad and well worth the money.
For modern games that need analogue, I just use a 360 pad. But the saturn pad is perfect for Street Fighter 4 and all my emulator work.

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.

Seriously, thanks to all you guys that helped me on this. I know I'm not gonna buy what you suggested, but thanks for the input and your time.
