I have this on DSi. I didn't find it to be too challenging. About on a par with the old megaman games tbh. A bit of a learning curve, but easy enough once you know your way about.

So I beat the first boss just now and the game does actually let you continue once you've beat the first level. The problem is, I had no lives left when I beat the first boss, and the game keeps track of how many lives you have... and doesn't let you continue. Ever. So I think I need to go back and beat the first stage again, and try to conserve lives. Unforgiving is an understatement as far as lives go in this game.

Beat it! On easy though... I died seven times on my playthrough and had one life left. Hard game, even on easy. I think the developers made it so hard in order to mask how short the game was. Either way, the replay value is high, considering all of the collectibles that are available. Look for a review some time soon.

Yeah it makes all the difference. Once you learn how to clear the first level without losing any lives you should be okay.

It helped me once I figured out that if you double tap jump then you can kind of hover with the jetpack and then control where you fly. I was just boosting everywhere by holding jump at first.

And with this I instantly see why you were struggling. The game is much easier if you just fly whenever you can.

He's easy once you get used to his pattern. Try to avoid the bullets and stick to his right side first. Once he opens up to shoot that homing missile, rapid fire into that section until it sets on fire. Then do the same with the left, and finally the bottom, and you are all set. He gave me some issues too, but its really all about avoiding that bullet pattern. Good luck!
