Reminds me of my friends and myself taking as many TV's, gameboy player GC's, GBA's and link cables as it took to get everyone gaming 'Four Swords Adventures' on their own screens.

I'm liking that portable GC screen. Is that the only model made or was there also an official release?
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

no "official release", but there's lots of different models.

BTW -- fastbilly has the ultimate 4-Swords setup. It's unreal.

Wow, that Game Boy port looks incredible! I had no idea the system could do that! I mean, I had played the Donkey Kong Land games, but this is really something, too! Great post, noise.

yeah, I mean it certainly can't keep up with the gameplay of the 16-bit versions, but I mean WOW, they really squeezed every last ounce out of the Game Boy's capabilities that they could. It's impressive.

That was the great thing about that era of gaming. We didn't have some artificial 'cycle' where hardware was replaced every 4-5 years. Programmers got to know every nook and cranny of the gameboy. If you look at the launch titles of the game boy and then look at the last few entries before the color system came out...it's stunning.
