Evening! My first day here, so I thought I would make myself useful.

Within the past month I've started to dig up my childhood and get into retro gaming with a vengeance (reacquired a Dreamcast, Genesis, Snes, and NES in the space of a month :P). Anyway, I've tracked down a few decent retro stores in the central Ohio area.

There is what I'm guessing to be a local franchise called Play It with three locations.

Polaris Location
1202 E. Powell Rd
Lewis Center, Ohio 43035
614-436-1111

OSU Campus
15 E. 13th Ave
Columbus, Ohio 43201
614-754-7817

Clintonville
4316 N. High Street
Columbus, Ohio 43214
614-262-8888

Been to the Clintonville and Polaris locations over the weekend, and while the Clintonville had a better older game selection, they all had really nice sections devoted to NES/SNES/Sega's systems, in addition to current systems, dvd, etc. Decent stores.

There's also a two guy hole in the wall place in grove City

Tech n Gamer
3650 Broadway
Grove City, Ohio 43123

The owner seems like a nice guy and is definitely centered around the retro systems, but a lot of the games themselves seem like the cast offs from someone's bigger Craigslist lot. They have a ton of refurbished systems though from the 2600 to the PS3, so if for nothing else, they're a good resource for hardware.

Video Game Connection 300 Genesee St. Lapeer,Mi 48446 Phone 810-245-2080.

This store took a little getting use to but one of my favorite places now.It is run by a family Karl owns it.His mother Kathy also she runs the counter too. They are former Flea market sellers. Don't expect them to know about games but the usually have a good selection at a pretty good price.
