I don't know about you guys but for some reason I am recently addicted to eBay, I at least order something on eBay at least once a month, its not even funny. At least its not like I am spending $100 worth of items.

So tell me you guys (and gals), are you addicted to eBay?

This happens to me once a year, usually around December. This is because I usually get a company bonus, so it's really the only time of year I get to splurge while the rest of the year I spend penny pinching. Most of the stuff I want can't be bought in stores so I end up browsing through ebay.

My theme this year was building up a solid Sega Saturn collection, I got about 8 new games for it including D&D Collection which was probably my biggest purchase. Totally worth it though, the so-called loading problems in the game are HIGHLY exaggerated.

With Dynamite Deka, D&D Collection and Guardian Heroes, the Saturn was an AWESOME system for beat'em ups.

yep..i've got an addiction all right. i'm always watching like 15 or so auctions, but i'll just bid my max on stuff i really want and if i'm outbid, so what. but recently i wasn't outbid so ended up starting up my dreamcast collection. I got Cannon Spike, Gigawing, Gunbird 2, Mars Matrix, Shenmue & Grandia 2. All added up, I spent about 100 bucks. Then I got Galactic Attack for Saturn for like 15 bucks. I'm up to my elbows in shmups. Price wasn't too bad really for all those games. So i'm not too worried, merry x-mas me! It was much worse when i bought a Saturn. I just had to have Guardian Hero's & Dragon Force. i did get them for a good price, well below usual auction prices... plus i don't need to eat.

I sure am addicted to ebay. I'm trying real hard lately not to browse unless I've actually got some cash to spend becuase there always seem to be a bargain that I just cant live without. The other day I saw an item labelled 'Job of saturn games' and not much else in the description, just a photo of a the games which included Enemy Zero, Nights and Christmas Nights. 99p and no bids. Sadly someone else spotted these gems and outbid me but I couldnt afford it anyway.

Yup, you're right. My bad. They still hold up remarkably well today. Check out this awesome combo vid for Shadow over Mystara:

And with that, I'll stop going off topic

I'm currently watching 30 different auctions, does that qualify me? Most but not all are video game related. I don't win that many auctions since I'm such a bargain shopper and there is most often some yahoo willing to pay way too much for something.

I've had to set myself a monthly budget to cope with this. I can easily blow through £100 in a week, so that's now my budget. It makes me much more careful with the purchases and stops me going bid crazy. I found it far too easy to bid £2-3 on odd games here and there, and suddenly you've spent a tonne of cash and it's 3 weeks until payday.

I too love eBay, I've been using it alot lately to clean up my collection.

I must say though the American eBay is so much better than the Australian eBay. Everytime I search for a rare game it hardly ever shows up in the Australian eBay yet there are 20+ international seller from the US with the game that I am after. Also the prices are much more reasonable as well.
