a thought about direct downloads

Post by aaron »

the other thread got me thinking about those people who don't have an always-on broadband connection for their 360 or wii. what it made me think of is maybe, if certain games receive a certain number of downloads, those games will be given a full retail release as a compilation or something. i think ms did this with Live Unplugged or whatever it was called, i don't know how well that performed but it'd be neat to see like a "best of the VC" release as a retail game or something.

Sounds like a good idea.

I take my BB connection for granted these days. I wonder how many people dont have a BB connection.

Maybe that could happen. There is already a retail copy of some old Live Arcade games. I actually hope more full retail games would come out as downloads!! Sega Rally 2007 is an example of an XBOX 360 game I'd pay $20 to download but wouldn't consider buying at $60.
