Sega Saturn RGB Cable Question

Post by swimbikerun »

I've been looking for a RGB cable and saw this listed on eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Sega-SATURN-RGB-Vid ... 3ef4fb8a50

Does anyone know if this is the SCART one or Japanese RGB? I asked the seller the question and they didn't seem to know.

Frequently Asked Questions on this product
Q. - Will this work on my TV?
A. - If you're asking this question on these cables and don't live in europe/australia, probably not.
would indicate that it is a European RGB SCART cable. if not negative feedback and money back.
What system and what monitor do you have? where do you live etc.

That's is what I was thinking. I was looking for a Japanese RGB cable for a XRGB-3.

You could always try to rewire.
The scart plug is very unsolder and resolder friendly plug whih can be opened by twisting the plastic bolt.

BUT, and I say but. it is a bitch to find out which wire goes where, color, and then when it doesn´t work you´ll be like: WTF?
Even though you only need like 9 or so wires to remap.

I suggest you indeed find a Japanese RGB cable.
I understand that you have a Japanese Saturn and a Japanese Monitor? or will you output a different signal? ok whatever, you seem to know what you´re getting into!
When it´s done why not post a pic. We curious about these sorts of stuff.

A lot better.

Full read at my CRT VS LCD link below.

RF - Don't bother unless you play games with eyes closed.
Composite - lot of color bleeding and blur.
S-Video - clean images.

Resolution can go 480p up to 1080P
Component and RGB - Analog Image resolution higher
DVI and HDMI - Best image being all digital

KillerBean2 has a easy mod that'll make a EU Scart cable work on a JP/NA Saturn
