Just little inside about me and megaman series. I used to own megaman 2 and 3 for the nes. I have tried many times to get as far as possible before my nes freezes back in the days. But freezing wasnt the only problem, the megaman game seriers were freaking hard for me roughly at age 8 or 9. But recently i purchased mega 9 and 10 on the psn network and i got my game face on and started to play. I was successful in completing megaman 10 in a decent amt of time maybe less than 2 hours maxed. I didnt time my run through but i was amazed how addicting and fun megaman is. So then i decided to play 9 and try to beat it, but after many failing attempts i decided to give up and try mega man 2 on nes playing via on my dreamcast NES emulator. Suprise Suprise i beat it.....So the question is is there a difficulty difference in megaman 10 or maybe just level and stage differences that made it harder for me? Have anybody manage to beat megaman 10 yet? If so was easier than 9 or harder than 9?
Whoa, I just now noticed that in the cover art Mega Man looks like an old man. I knew it was intended to be bad, but I wonder if they wanted him to look old because of it being an 8 bit style game and all.
Anyway, I've never played either games, but if a Mega Man game is too easy, I don't thing it could be a very good Mega Man game.
I haven't played MM10 yet, but I think 9 is challenging enough as is.
I never saw the need to get any of the bonuses for 9 (maybe for Protoman, but that's it).
So, maybe they made it easier so that people might buy the add on content.
I found the difficulties of the games to be comparable, though I felt that 10 had more cheap deaths (those stupid things that jump out of the pits). The real issue is that 10 has an actual hard mode, which when considered makes it more difficult than 9.
I haven't played 10 but 9 is harder than the first three, which I have the most experience with. MM3 is actually the only one I've ever finished. In MM2 I always can't get past the Wiley stage that requires the crash bomb. In MM1 I suck too much to finish Iceman's stage.
I dont know why I keep buying megaman games. I have only beat MM2 for gameboy. And I still I have the anniversary collection for gcn, 9, 10, Megaman and Bass, Mega Man Extreme, Mega Man Legends, and Mega Man (gameboy) to beat.
