Is there a dog?

Post by dsheinem »

With apologies to Octopod...

Is there a dog in your life? I know we have a pet pic thread, but not everyone will post there. So, do you currently own any dogs? Are we a dog-lovin' group?

And please: no discussion of inferior pets like cats, fish, iguanas, snakes, birds, horses, etc. This thread is for the dogs.

I own two pound puppy mutts - twin brother and sister 3-year old collie/brittany spaniel/whatever mixes. And while my dogs are great and provide a ton of fun, they don't quite compare to my childhood dog, Honey. Honey was the best goddamn dog to ever grace this earth. Every boy deserves a great dog in their childhood, and I was lucky enough to have mine.

I' like to keep this as discussion about dogs. :D If you have a pic post it here: http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopi ... 15&t=16007 and link it if you' like. If you have a great dog story or the like, this is the place to post it!

Now this a much more agreeable thread. :D No dog, just man....and cat. My kitty is the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end.

Those are some nice looking animals DS.

My girlfriend and I have a 7month old Ruby Cav.

I will post up a photo when I can find a picture that doesn't include my girlfriend.

BOooooo - no cat talk PLEASE. I have one too, but we are here to discuss the best goddamn species on the face of the earth: canis lupus familiaris.

Wow, how is it that the religious thread stays civil but this one turns so ugly so fast?

Clearly because dogs vs. other pets is a significantly more important issue than bickering over "god."

I don't like dogs. Was bitten as a child and I've been bitter about it ever since.

I used to have dogs when I was a kid and used to spend at least half the year in the countryside. Once I started working I moved to the city and I think it would be unfair of me towards a dog to be forced to live in an apartment. I ended up getting a cat because they can be left by themselves for a day or three when I have to travel. If I ever retire to somewhere with a lot of greenery I will definitely get a dog.
Mostly harmless
