No.

I've got no quibble with anyone who does. As long as I can accept they do, and they can accept I don't, fabulous. As far as I'm concerned, anyone can believe in whatever the heck they like, it takes all different types to make the world go 'round.

Don't shove what you believe down everyone else's throat, and don't get super offended when someone doesn't believe or think the same thing you do. That's all it takes really.

I vote yes.

Have no need to defend that to anyone. I also have no need to convince anyone else that they should vote the same way.

I know religion and politics are always hot topics but it is really stupid that adults can't discuss things with a different viewpoint without getting upset. I don't see anything wrong with the poll since it is in the "Whatever" section after all.

Also, Limewater and BigTinz you guys seriously shouldn't be calling people trolls. Pot meet kettle.

Geez, if we start calling everyone a troll we're going to turn into the gamefaqs forum. Honestly, I don't really like the world troll. It's basically a way of insulting someone simply for expressing an unpopular opinion and it gets used a lot on forums where arguing and flame wars are a daily thing. That's just my opinion though

Anyway, I believe in a......"higher power". However, I don't believe in a God as in the ones we see in most popular religions. The concept of God as laid out in a lot of religions is, in my humble opinion, too simple, to human-like. I think there is a higher power and that it is something beyond our human understanding, something that can't be so easily explained as, "a guy with a beard on a cloud". So in a way, I both agree and disagree with atheists. They reject the idea of god as put forth in many religions, which I agree with, but I do believe that there is "something" out there, but no world religion comes even close to understanding it fully in my opinion

People often portray god as being very human-like, which I view as too limiting a way of looking at it

EDIT:And although it may be sort of new agey, I do believe in the idea of all things in the universe being connected in some way, meaning that we are all, in a manner of speaking, God

Hey, Octopod, do you still not see anything trollish about this thread?

Whoa there, I'm not trolling. If someone wants to believe I won't stand in their way. To each their own, right? I'm just explaining the intellectual difficulties I have with the concept of God.

I used think something like that, but the human mind is pretty limited.
Of course that very statement opens up a world of arguments pertaining to the very legitimacy of "religion", but the point of my statement is that, despite how advanced humans have become, there's no real way to know for sure. There's still a lot of reasons for me to doubt a God and conventional religion, but there's no solid evidence not to believe in a god or even a "specific" god. So I say better to believe in something that may very well be wrong or flawed and grow from it than to deteriorate on your own.
