Like I said before a dedicated old windows XP emulation laptop or box is dirt freaking cheap.
I want my living room to look nice though. You know to bring girls over.
There's many HTPC cases that are designed to look like something that belongs in an entertainment center. Here's mine. (I don't have that knob, though.)

Also I don't understand what your problem with firmware updates it. A friend of mine had a PSP since launch and he told me that the firmware updates added cool stuff to convince people to update to unhackable firmware (well not hacked at the time firmware).
All of the PSP's features minus Skype have been standard on the PS3 since launch.

The only thing we've gotten is a picture uploader for facebook if you're into that sort of crap. Also, PSN and the PS3 itself are notoriously slow for updates with the installation itself taking up to an hour or more in some cases.
My Consoles:

@GSZX1337: Well that's a bit pricey but it does show thee higher end cases.

@ZeroAX: Do you really think anyone would complain or say that a laptop sitting neatly in one of your entertainment center's shelves makes the room look ugly? Or that a nice clean looking PC tower or small Think Center styled desktop was sitting next to you TV? Caring about people will say or think is one thing, but some self confidence about yourself and your hobbies to back it up is what women are really interested in.

Plus there's always going to be someone who talks crap about something in your or mine or anyone's setup. It's just the nature of the beast when it comes to opinions and preferences.

I don't have an entertainment center. I have a stupid IKEA tv....thingy. My 3 consoles don't fit in it.

Ah, I feel you there though I've got a Wal-Mart TV stand which is pretty much the same crappy deal. Same thing when it comes to my current setup where nothing really fits all that well. Cheap attractive looking wall shelving from your local bargain or department store reseller is a Godsend though to store and place consoles and software.

Has anyone ordered their jailbreaks or got them already?

There's cheaper ones, the one I have (like I said, it didn't have a knob) was $100. IIRC, there was a Zalman case similar to the one I linked to but smaller for $50-$75.
