No that's not the point I'm making at all. I'm saying that having masses of sales doesn't make a game brilliant. Neither does having non-existent sales make a game suck. EG Okami.

I'm arguing that Modern Warfare 2 is a crap game. It's all style and absolutely no substance. The single player is just atrocious, and pathetically short (3 hours on my first play through on PC) for such a high budget game. The multiplayer is just vapid. I'm just completely perplexed as to why the game is regarded so highly. It seems that the only argument anybody ever has in favour of the game is that it's the sequel to Modern Warfare. Considering the vacuous berks that bought the game in droves, it's hardly surprising. To be fair, I'm glad the COD morons don't sully my BC2 experience with their presence. However I am grateful for the easy kills whenever they do decide to play the game. Thanks for the free experience, chumps.

Modern Warfare is already in the list, is it really necessary to include it's inferior sequel whilst simultaneously overlooking the vastly superior Bad Company 2? Just solidifies my point that IGN isn't written by real gamers any more. It is purely written to appease the lowest common denominator every time. Garbage.

Ign was once written by gamers? Though, I do think that COD4 was a great game, And I don't like MW2 but a lot of people do and if that wasn't on the list well... yea.

If the game had nothing to do with Call of Duty or Modern Warfare, we wouldn't even be talking about it. No one would be talking about it. It would have been forgotten just as easily as Blacklight: Tango Down.

When I rented COD:MW2 (and THANK GOD I RENTED IT), it took me a whopping 4 hours to get through the campaign, then it took me 2 hours of playing multiplayer before saying "I think I'd rather be playing COD4 - or ANY other online game for that matter."

I don't really see anything wrong with the list. I do not like every game on it but a good chunk of it represents the best games that have been made this generation outside of niche genres like shmups.

The list is irrelevant because it's IGN's opinion. Seriously people you don't have to agree with them and they don't have to agree with you. Just because games you like aren't on the list doesn't mean IGN is wrong, just that they have different tastes. Please don't take this the wrong way, I'm not agreeing with IGN's choices. I'm just pointing out how pointless it is to whine about a stupid list they made.

So where the hell is Bayonetta? or even Ninja Gaiden 2 and Devil May Cry 4 for that matter. I'm not seeing any beat'em up love on this list. And despite my dissapointment with Resident Evil 5, it was very successful and its omission from the list is odd to say the least. Maybe if we didn't have multiple spots being hogged by Call of Duty, Mass Effect and Halo. Can't you just put something like, the Call of Duty series or the Mass Effect series. Gives your list room for other deserving titles

as the7k pointed out, no Dead Rising? Granted it's a flawed game, but it's unique and fun and still relevant until the sequel comes out

Is there a reason they couldn't include Xbox Live Arcade titles? Odd not to see games like Braid and Castle Crashers

Final Fantasy XIII is rightfully not on here in my opinion. The 360 didn't even need FF13 given how successful it already was before the game came out, so it's not a defining 360 title and the 360 version is an embarrassment anyway

And I'll say it again, NO VIVA PINATA! Seems like Farmville on Facebook gets more love than the Viva Pinata series. Oh well

IGN's entitled to their opinion, so I'm not going to bash them too hard, but I think this list is kind of joke in my honest opinion. I guess they have to do stupid lists like this to get more hits to their site from people like us who will want to bitch and moan about it

I'm not surprised about no devil may cry 4, that wasn't as well received as previous installments, However bayonetta got alot of good reviews I think around 90 on metacritic. And Viva pinata TIP is one of my favorite games.

Yeah, the Viva Pinata games are brilliant. I seldom hear people talk about them though. And I think Bayonetta really refined the Devil May Cry formula. Makes you wonder how the Devil May Cry series might have evolved if they had kept the original creator(who worked on Bayonetta)

This makes me think that the Xbox doesn't have anything but over-hyped blockbusters. All the interesting 'gems', take a backseat on Xbox Live Arcade.

Am I actually missing out on some obscure Xbox games deserving of my time? I hope so, yet whenever I'm interested in buying a new game, my only options seem to be triple A games.

Wait, let me get this straight. You're complaining about being spoilt for choice on the piles of great games on the 360?
