I think these are hidden gems, but perhaps they aren't as hidden as I believe that are:
Glory Days DS
Contact
Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime
Yoshi Touch and Go (this last one may seem odd but as an early (if not launch) release, I get the sense it's largely been forgotten).

Professor Layton is a must play. It only lasted a week for me... and it has no replay value at all! But that week was one of the most fiendish week of gaming I've had in my life. The puzzles are simple and varied and it's a great way to make bus journeys fly! It isn't really a hidden gem but it sure is a gem all the same!

No kidding! Finally a new HM game without those damned Harvest Sprites that have ruined the rest of the series since HM64.ZeroAX wrote:the new harvest moon is good
Edit: I should specify that the sprites are still in the game but that they don't help you with farming. That's what ruined the rest of the games for me.

yeah I know. Why work your ass of when you have cheap child slave labour to do all the work for you? they just take 1 bag of flower each and they'll even scratch your back.
and yeah Layton is awsome. I'm going to also buy the PAL version just for the great box art http://www.wiiwii.tv/2008/09/04/profess ... ul-boxart/

I was going to make a new thread but found this one; anyways, what are some more worthy to play?

Knights in the Nightmare is a pretty unique strategy RPG that is somewhat hidden I think. There is a remake of the orginal Resident Evil for DS called Resident Evil: Deadly Silence. I never hear people talking about this one much, it's pretty solid. I second Contact as a hidden gem.

Two games that I really like, that are easily dismissed by the ignorant and I've never seen pimped by anyone, ever:
Tomb Raider: Underworld. I loved the hell out of the 360/PS3 game. And this is the same, entire game. Only in 2D. And it WORKS. Amazing.
Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. If you've ever wanted to play Golden Axe but in space with a lightsaber, this is it.

Little Red Riding Hood's Zombie Barbeque: It's a topdown shooter with heart that really works out the pattern recognition skills and twitch reflexes when on the harder difficulties. The art direction is gruesome, but a enjoyable. It's really a thrill to see how the next level will pervert a fairy tale.

Sonic Rush is usually dismissed with all the other new Sonic games, but it's 2D and is pretty good.
Geometry Wars Galaxies is a must have.
Metroid Prime Hunters. I don't think it's really a hidden gem, but I hardly ever see it being talked about, and it's great.
