It didn't sell well?
what a disappointment, this was one of the most anticipated games
it was basically going to show what next-gen graphics is.

I am not following videogames news again

I just don't like buying games for a system that will eventually die in a few years. However, the Xbox 360 games hold virtually no value and get really cheap. I'll pick it up later but I'd really rather play it on the PC like I had originally intended.

So I'm guessing that you don't buy ps3, ps2, wii, games. Or any retro games because the system is already dead. right.

He's referring to the RRoD I think.

So why did you buy a 360 if it is only destined to die? I understand you prefer playing it on PC, but that does not seem to be an option so I still don't see why you wont just buy it on 360.

And I am not sure what you mean by its future value. Do you think Alan Wake on the PC would hold its value? Do you ever buy current generation games? Because 99.9% of them will all be in a bargain bin within five years.

Huh, re reading that I guess so. I thought he meant it is late in its lifecycle, thus will lose support and be dead. Well what about a ps3 then? while the failure rate is about 1/4 of the 360, but still that's comparing it to the highest failure rate ever for a game console(I think?) And while I can't speak for numbers of the new S model, it probably has gone down with improved cooling and reduced power consumption.

I bought a 360 because there are a few exclusives I wanted to play and it is inevitable that most 360's will be dead in the future. It's a shame that some 360's are not built very well. Hopefully the newly designed 360's are of better build quality.

By "value" I meant the price of purchasing the game. I plan on picking up Alan Wake whenever the price gets really low. That's why I love those bargain bins. Just picked up a Wii game for $5 new the other day. :D
