Just ordered a Gameboy player
I finally got a Gameboy player and Kirby's Block Ball for my Gamecube and I can't wait to play it on a 42" screen
Now all I need is that damn component cable. lol

And then you're set for life. Good luck on finding the component cable, though. I hear they are made of solid platinum, unicorn hooves, and the tears of leprechauns. Or at least the official ones are.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Good choice on ordering that GBP; it's a fantastic piece of hardware. It is a joy to see Game Boy/Color/Advance games in 480p, so I would hunt down that component cable if I were you. I was lucky enough to find one at Play N' Trade for $10, and my 'Cube has never looked better.

aren't Wii cables compatible? I remember the Cube cables could be used on the N64

No, they won't work. Even if the plug would fit, the Gamecube component cable has a chip in it.ZeroAX wrote:aren't Wii cables compatible? I remember the Cube cables could be used on the N64

I <3 my gb player. It get's more use than GC games a lot of the time.
If you have the cords to plug your computer into your tv I'd highly reccomend getting http://vba-m.com/. It has way better video options than the old VBA and it looks amazing up on a hd set.

The AV Famicom, Sufami/SNES, N64, and GC use the same plug. Nintendo got crafty on us and started to use a new one from the Wii onward (likely at least).ZeroAX wrote:aren't Wii cables compatible? I remember the Cube cables could be used on the N64
(FC, AVFC, NES, SFC x2, SNES, N64, GC x2, Wii x2)*(G&W x7, GB, GBpocket, GBASP, DS-L x2)
(GEN, SS x3, DC x3)*(PCE-Duo)*(Xbox:500GB)*(NGCDZ, NGPC)*(PS1, PStwo, PS3:160GB, PSP.3K)

$25 shipped CIB and disc for the player I thought was good and yeah the component cable is going to be a bitch to find for cheap. I always thought they were made from Moon dust that was forged by demons in hell.
