tried searching, but couldn't find a thread for it.
anyone else playing this? thoughts?

to me, it feels more like a reskined ninja gaiden than a metroid game. Still, it is pretty fun.

I haven't played this. I'm not big on Metroid anyway. I prefer my Metroidvania games. I have to say one thing though. That commercial is f**ing sweet!

I love Metroid. I love Samus. I am eager to see the expansion of her character and her history. I've been waiting to play this since it was announced at what, last E3? And I would be playing it right this minute except...

Stupid Amazon $^$@#&ed up my release date delivery and it isn't going to arrive til tomorrow! GRRRR

Anyway as soon as I get it, I'll be playing it. And then eventually I'll come on here and say something about it

yeah- i didn't get mine today either. But i pirated it 2 days ago, so you know.. when it gets here it gets here. No big.

I'm totally torn on it. On the one hand there are things that i absolutely love, and on the other... stuff i hate. No inbetween. When more people play it- i'll elaborate. Don't want to spoil anything.

I was skeptical when I heard Team Ninja people were working on this. Ninja Gaiden games have great combat. Everything else in those games is usually crap though. Metroid doesn't seem anywhere even remotely up their alley

All I know is that Samus's character seemed REALLY off in a few of the cutscenes from the game I saw...

Team ninja did the gameplay. Nintendo did everything else.

yeah.... the cut scenes are really awful. Not just samus, but everything about them. The only thing that the cutscenes do well is the action.

My roomate is playing it right now, I didn't know they still made gamecube games

In all honesty, I hate the wii mote and motion controls, so this is one I will probably just watch be played
