The trouble is that Sega are targeting young children. My 10 year old nephew loves the new sonic games because they target his demographic and pretty much alienate all others . If sega listened to the older fans by going back to their roots and made something that we all liked regardless of age, I know that the younger kids would like it also.

The reason I believe this to be true is that every time I take out my Mega drive and let him play the old sonic games he loves them almost as much as me, I bet he won't have the same affection for his sonic games when he hits his mid 20's.

We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.

Racket, have you contacted the guy to let him know about all this? It seems like he's the type of person who doesn't realize how awesome something is that he created, and so he didn't make an effort to spread the word about it. I can't believe it got 500+ diggs.

I looked for a way to contact him, but I don't see any email address, comments form, or anything....
Hopefully, he has stats on his site and see a bunch of links from me....
I'd love to talk to him, interview him, or at least convince him to make more :)

Hmm... The idea is amazing of course but I'm not sure I really like the way it's done in this image (His similar Metroid image however I worship). I think it's overly detailed for a Sonic game, just because it's in HD doesn't mean you have to exploit every pixel. It's mainly the boss that I dislike, but as it's the mian focal point you can understand why it taints the rest of the image.
Not to be on too much of a downer tho, it is a really good image just a few things I would personally change. Personally I think the Metroid image is more infitting with it's style than this is to Sonic.

Well, that's exactly how it looks in the real game (just with less detail and polish)
