Kurohyou: Ryu ga Gotoku (new Yakuza PSP game)

Post by brunoafh »

The Yakuza/Ryu ga Gotoku series is phenomenal. I've been wanting to play the 4th game forever now, but I resisted importing because I figured it would be localized (it is next year). But has anyone else seen the new PSP game coming out next month? I've been following it for awhile now, it looks awesome. It's got all the needed elements it seems, and a lot of focus on the whole arena fighting thing. You're probably familiar with what I mean if you played the Yakuza games.

The PSP game is supposed to come out September 22nd in Japan, and a US release is unlikely. PSP is region free, so fans of the series may want to import this. You can get it for $50 off Play-Asia if you get the Asian version. Here's some footage of the game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yAtQSH17 ... ure=search

A demo for the game was released today, but not on PSN. You can download it here. This is the source: http://www.4gamer.net/games/107/G010745/20100830010/. I played it, it's really good. The fights feel and look quite a bit different, but it's the same idea. It's in Japanese, but you can still play without much of a problem if you can't read it. After the opening cutscene, the game brings you to a tutorial which will show you how what the controls are. If you don't understand something I can probably help you out.
