The PS3 is the better looking version, the PS3 version has outsold the 360 in the available regions by alot. Not to mention that alot of people hated it.

Of course. Everyone knows that the PS3 version is superior, but the fact that it is on the 360 at all is certainly something, given appropriate context.

Man, they missed out on a ton of great games. Even a bunch of one's important to the console's success are missing! [Dead Rising, Final Fantasy XIII, etc.]

It was the one huge upcoming exclusive PS3 owners could hold over 360 owner's heads, and it was the poster child for the system's hardware superiority claims. When the game was announced for the 360, it was a huge loss for the PS3 and a huge victory for the 360. You can't say that wasn't a defining moment in the 360's life.

I agree, but FF13 sucks.

I agree with a lot of ranks on this list (Mass Effect 2 at #1) but a lot of games on the list just suck. Oblivion should have been #2, Fallout 3 should have been like 6, CoD and Halo Wars should not have been on it at all.

Bad Company 2 is a better game than MW2 in every single way. Hell, even the single player is longer.

Quality of anything has almost nothing to do with Quantity of sales. They are two completely independent things.

Can you sell a lot of a good product? Yes. Can you sell a lot of a garbage product? Yes. Can a good product completely flop? Yes. Can an awful product completely flop? Yes.

In the end, mind-share (advertising, brand-name awareness, cover art, promos, etc.) is a lot more important than the actual quality of the product. Games like "Enter The Matrix" (a horrid game with incredible sales) and "Beyond Good & Evil" (an incredible game with horrid sales) prove this.

If Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 had come out with a completely different name and far less advertising and promotions, I've no doubt that it would have sold far less than even a quarter of what it did. However, because it was the sequel to COD4 - because it had advertising littering the air-waves - because it had X360 system bundles, a near-controversial collector's edition and a very controversial mission that got it tons of air-time on Fox News - it ended up one of the best selling games ever.

I think actually it is the Uk's best selling game. If it wasn't the sequel to COD4 and had a different name and wasn't popular, you would be arguing why it wasn't on that list.
