Weird issue with MvC on Dreamcast

Post by Dylan »

Here's my problem: I have a copy of Marvel Vs. Capcom for the DC, but I can't get the game to respond to any input from the analogue stick on the standard controller. I've also tried multiple functional controllers, so I'm sure that it isn't the controller. Now, My copy of the game does have a large crack on the disc, could that be the cause of the error? I'm asking because I'm not sure if a cracked disc could exhibit this type of behavior. Thoughts?

It doesn't support it. Just played it to make sure.

Only thought is the destruction of the inside of your Dreamcast when the disc shatters.
Even a deep scratch will premature wear out the laser, let alone a crack in the disc.

A lot of the fighters only support digital mode, great for arcade digital sticks.

Ugh, that's what I was afraid of. Why on earth wouldn't they at least include the option to use the analogue stick?

At any rate thanks guys, I guess I'm just going to have to find myself an agetec.

Who in his right mind would want to use an analog stick for fighting games?
I am not angry at you, well, yes I am
Never ever think of using an analog stick for fighting games, mkay.
no go on and play with the digital pad or better, buy a converter and play with a saturn pad.
Or perhaps even better, get an arcade stick!
