problems with posting here sometimes, anyone else?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Post by claudio »

so just wondering if this happens to anyone else?

sometimes when i post on a specific thread, it goes to a white page with racketboys logo on the top left and the google adwords on the left.

does this happen to anyone else ever?

i cant even post to the "What Would You Like To See From Racketboy in 2008?" at the moment, but i can post on other threads. this has happened like 5 times to me already.

I still just get server timeouts once a day. By the 2nd refresh they usually go away.

I get the same problems where the header of the forum loads and thats it.

I think that this has occured on the main site as well but I'm not too sure.

If a certain page keeps giving you trouble, have you tried clearing your browser cache and then refreshing?
I honestly don't even know where to start troubleshooting as I haven't seen the problem and nothing has changed in the forum software in months.

I've gotten those on occasion too, but I also get them on a number of other sites, so I'm assuming it my internet connection.

Which others? I only get them here.

I don't keep track.
I just get used to having issues with pages loading and/or my home connection getting slow.
I then have to reboot my cable modem to get things back to normal.

i just dont get it when its a specific thread that it happens too, and it loads into your blank webpage with your logo on top, and ads on the left over and over again.

sometimes after a day of 2 it will work fine.

now with your "what....2008" page it was happening to me, but i was able to get a 1 letter through into the post (without getting that almost totally white page)then i edited it to one word "edit" and it worked fine. but unfortunately, last night i couldnt ever get 1 sentence through after that. its 2pm now and now that thread works no problem.

its weird but the point of this thread is to see if anybody else had the same exact problem i had.

I admit it's really strange and I wish I could do something to help.... it's just hard to fix something I can't replicate (the phrase everyone hates to hear when talking to tech support)
