DealExtreme Hard Disk Drive Cases , 250GB compatible ?

Post by s8n »

hi 360 scene , I am thinking of getting some of these Hard Disk Drive Cases from DealExtreme.

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.33675

They claim they are Compatible with 20GB 60GB 120GB hard drives , but what about 250GB HDDs ? are they compatible ?

Any info helps

Don't use them in a xbox live 360. There's a possible chance Microsoft will ban your console. If it's already modded and you don't use it on Live then go for it.

As for your question. No idea. I can't imagine why it wouldn't but there may be some thing in the 360 that would stop it. On a jtagged 360 you can use any size hard drive.

Microsoft will not ban consoles for using a unofficial hard drives. If they did they would get their call centers flooded with people that bought their hard drive off ebay and and suddenly they dont work.

I upgraded my hard drive my self over two years ago and have never had a problem with it

It is worth pointing out that it is not as simple as plugging in any hard drive in you want. The hard drive has to be compatible and you have to do some work re flashing it using a DOS program (true MS-DOS not command line).

no problem, just make sure you flash the drive with the right 250gb bin file, and use the right copy of Xplorer360(there is a 250gb edition) to add the partition to play xbox games
