A great site, for anyone who doesn't already know

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

A great site, for anyone who doesn't already know

I know it's possible that this site is well known by forum members already, but in case any of you don't know. Check it out. A treasure trove of retro gaming info. It's like taking some kind of college class on obscure and retro games. I'm finding the podcasts entertaining too.

I was just looking at it tonight and thinking about posting it here. I just assumed everyone already knew. I really enjoy reading Hardcore Gaming. It's nice to learn about an entire series or related topic at once.

This site has an extremely in-depth look back at the Famicom. They wrote it in 2003 on the 20th anniversary of the hardware. Next year is 25... Wow.

I dabbled in ClassicGaming's many sub-sites years ago, but I didn't know about this one.

The site is amazingly thorough. Chances are, if you have any questions about a particular game or series that the site covers, they'll be answered.

Another plus is that they sometimes cover modern games too, if there is something retro about them. They've got detailed write ups on God Hand, Odin Sphere, and some mech based fighter/schmup hybrid that recently came out for the Xbox 360.

My only gripe is that some articles can be a little opinionated and I don't always agree with them, but you'll have that with any site and it's a minor complaint given the amazing amount of gaming info you'll find there
