I made a cartmood with PCB Tales of Phantasia, but I had quite a problem with this game to build Dragon Quest III 48MB...

After numerous tests, I am able to operate and has backup.

I'm quite interested in this, but how does it all work?
Could I donate a cartridge that I don't want (i.e. Race Drivin') and Zig could write over the ROM with Starfox 2 and replace the label? It would work no problems on my PAL Super Nintendo? Is it as simple as that? If so, then I might have to get in on this!

So essentially what these guys are doing is taking a donor cart, removing the existing ROM chip and adding a new chip with the new ROM data. However, since the pinout of Nintendo ROM chips is different from that of a standard EPROM they need to do a little rewiring. Also for large games they put them on several EPROMs, while on the original cart it would be a single chip. I believe this requires a decoder to be added in order to address all the chips. The final wrinkle is that you can't just put any ROM on any donor board; if the ROM uses a save feature you want a donor board that supports it, and if the ROM requires one of the special chips (Like the SuperFX) then you need a donor board with one of those chips.

I did not read the entire thread but I was wondering if it was possible to make an N64 reproduction cartridge similar to what's been done for SNES/NES? A quick google search doesn't turn up anything in this area AFAIK.

EDIT: I found this thread which basically says that it's not possible to do so.

hey, i'm seeing a lot of tsop work here, and was wondering how necessary the boards are.
i'm sure i could get it working without them, but then comes the concern of stability.
has anyone tried this?

also, i just saw this:
